Description
This recipe for Bacon Cheese Fries with Ranch serves as my chosen party appetizer. For game day, these bacon and cheese fries deliver both simplicity and excellent flavor. This recipe combines crispy fried potatoes with a distinct layer of ranch seasoning, then the cook tops them with bacon, cheddar, mozzarella, and feta cheese for a robust result.
Ingredients
Scale
- 32 oz. frozen french fries (1 package), homemade also works
- 1 tbsp ranch seasoning
- ½ cup freshly shredded sharp cheddar cheese
- ½ cup freshly shredded mozzarella cheese
- ½ cup crumbled feta cheese
- ¼ cup crumbled cooked bacon
- ¼ cup sliced green onion
- 2 tbsp ranch dressing plus more for serving
Instructions
- Start by spreading the 32 oz. of frozen french fries across a large baking sheet so they form a single layer. Evenly coat them with 1 tbsp of dry ranch seasoning; you can add a little extra if you prefer a stronger flavor.
- Cook the fries following the directions on the package. Once they are done, take them out of the oven. Immediately top them with ½ cup of freshly shredded sharp cheddar cheese, ½ cup of freshly shredded mozzarella cheese, ½ cup of crumbled feta cheese, ¼ cup of crumbled cooked bacon, and ¼ cup of sliced green onion. Finish by drizzling 2 tbsp of ranch dressing over everything.
- Switch the oven to broil and place the baking sheet back in for 3-5 minutes. Keep an eye on it until the cheese is completely melted and bubbly. For the best experience, serve the fries hot with extra ranch dressing on the side for dipping.
