Falooda – THE CUPCAKE CONFESSION

Delia Smith Falooda

Okay, so this post was supposed to be published on Monday but then many things happened this past week and therefore, it got delayed!

I had ample time to write a post down but I was still trying to figure out how to compose the post when finally I got a hold of my senses and decided to compile my sane thoughts.

Firstly, A BIG THANK YOU to you guys! All the readers for your advice emails and my lovely blog friends for helping me sort out my problem!

Until last week I was petrified to know what the future would hold. I was literally considering taking up full time blogging for the rest of my life. And just when I was about to break down literally into pieces, I decided to listen to my heart, just like what you guys had told!!! Like you’ll say that a higher degree is important, I decided to give this post graduation diploma program a go!

So, I am now going to be studying Advertising, Marketing and Sales Management in the heart of Mumbai!!!! And I couldn’t be more excited!!!!!!! It’s going to take me an hour of travelling by the ever so popular local trains of Mumbai, which for lack of better word, are CROWDED!!!!

But that also means that I will be closer to Marine Drive, one of the most serene places in Mumbai! Seriously, I could just sit there all day and all night watching the waves lap against the massive concrete stones that have been built!

Besides, it’s a part time course, so that means, I’ll be spending my evenings there with the 2 people that mean the world to me – my best friends!

I can’t wait to show you the views of Marine Drive! My college begins in Mid July so we have a month and a half until then!

Somehow, I feel like everything is falling in place now! All I had to do was give it some time!

Gaaaah!!! I know this seems like a boring post! I also know that you guys are here for the food! So, no more sappy melodrama!

I made this Falooda!

And IT’S DAIRY FREE! Raise your hands…. yo!

Falooda is a very popular cooler, milk-based drink in India and you’ll find them in abundance especially during the month of Ramazan! It’s got a delicious base of rose syrup {store bought} , milk {I’ve used dairy free cashew milk that I made some time back} and chia seeds!!!!!

The peeps here add a generous scoop of commercial vanilla ice cream but since I’m on a weight loss thing and all that, we decided to skip it! You can add it if you’d like…. it tastes yum!

Oh and I’m going to my new college on Monday to pay the fees and officially be a student for another year! {That really means I’ll have to write two more semesters’ worth of exams! And here I was celebrating the fact that I won’t have to study anymore!}

Guess the opposition to Maslow’s rule is correct after all! No need can ever be fully satisfied!

Before I take off on another tangent altogether, here’s the recipe for the Falooda!! ENJOY!
